The position we are seeking to fill is for a Solid Dose Manufacturing Technician.You will be responsible for executing manufacturing activities in support of product development projects. You will support new products and existing product development within the Research & Development department by working to manufacture products within a safe GMP environment.

Requirements:
Degree in chemical processing, pharmaceutical science or related discipline. Experience working within a GMP facility would be highly desirable. Experience working in a high-paced environment. Evidence of ability to effectively contribute to multi-disciplinary scientific teams and environment.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Set up, run and operate Oral solid dose Pilot Plant equipment and support problem-solving activities to resolve equipment/product quality issues that arise. Execute batch sheet instructions and record their completion to GMP standards. Support the scale-up, production and technical transfer of pharmaceutical products. Support management of plant and process areas. Support installation, validation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required. Ensure that documentation of processes and operations is in place and completed such that a detailed understanding of the manufacturing process is recorded and enables further improvements, where required or possible. Work closely with stakeholders (Quality, Analytical and Facilities) and in particular colleagues in Formulation Development department, to plan campaign tasks, edit and review supporting documentation and ensure a seamless transition into the GMP manufacturing facility. Input, propose and modify as appropriate, SOPs, risk assessments and training curricula.

Pharmaron acquired the Hoddesdon campus, consisting of several purpose-built scientific and administrative buildings together with a purpose-built conference area in February 2017. The research building has more than 5,000m2 of premier R&D space and houses an established Process Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Drug Discovery teams. In addition, a Formulation Development team was also recently established. The Hoddesdon site has state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard facilities for the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Formulation Development (FD) and Process Chemistry (PC).
