LyondellBasell are seeking to recruit a Plant Support Lab Technician for our facility in Milton Keynes.

The Milton Keynes plant produces polypropylene polymeric compounds to the highest safety and quality standards for the automotive industry, has a friendly and inclusive team and has a track record of 44 years of production.
Basic Function
The Plant Support Lab Technician is responsible for the accurate testing of polymer materials and assistance with Plant Support activities at Milton Keynes site.
Roles & Responsibilities
Carry out accurate testing on polymer materials in accordance with work instructions, international standards and safe working practices Accurate recording of parameters, test results and observations Professionally and promptly completing administration/documentation requirements Ensure appropriate handling and storage of materials Organise appropriate retention and control of test material evidence Support technical development projects and customer complaints Focal Point for plant colour issues Ensuring that product release is verified and completed in an accurate and timely manner Support SAP/PLM software tasks Preparation and dispatch of samples Maintain a high standard of safety, housekeeping and hygiene at all times Must work in compliance with the requirements of the site management systems (IATF16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001)
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
GCSE Level A – C (or equivalent) in Mathematics, English, Sciences A-Level (or equivalent) in Mathematics or Sciences subject
Work Experience:
Over 2 years’ experience in a laboratory-based role Hands-on experience with mechanical processing machinery/tools Experience in a polymer-related field (particularly in physical testing) is desirable Experience with SAP/PLM software is beneficial

Languages:
Must be fluent in written and verbal English.
Terms and Conditions
We offer an attractive compensation package, which includes a starting salary from minimum of £30,000 gross per annum, dependant on skills & experience, and participation in the Company’s discretionary short-term incentive (bonus) programme. Currently, the full-year target bonus for this position is 6% of base salary.
The holiday entitlement is 25 days/annum plus bank holidays
