We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician/ACT to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Isle of Wight, a category B men's prison, located in the Isle of Wight.

In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed .

Hours:

This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week. The Pharmacy team work a rolling rota over 4 weeks, 4-5 shifts per week. Hours are Monday-Friday 8.30am- 5.00pm, with potential to work on weekends if needed.

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £43,534- depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients
Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards.
Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of.
Promote Best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. Communicate complex or sensitive information whilst demonstrating empathy and understanding to patients.
Share Information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines management, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed.

Qualifications required:

NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
General GCSE education or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
