Pharmacy Technician – Primary Care

Location: Aylesbury

34-hours per week

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Compass are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare provider for a Pharmacy Technician to join a forward-thinking multidisciplinary team based in Aylesbury. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in supporting GP practices with medicines optimisation and patient care initiatives.

You’ll benefit from a strong peer network, ongoing professional development, and the opportunity to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team.

Requirements:

  • A qualified Pharmacy Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • A team player with the ability to work independently and make proactive contributions to patient care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimising Medication Use: Work closely with patients to ensure they understand how to take their medicines safely and effectively, supporting adherence and improving outcomes.
  • Supporting Practice Teams: Assist healthcare professionals with routine medication tasks, enabling them to focus on patients with more complex needs.
  • Ensuring Safe Prescribing: Review medication records to help identify discrepancies, potential risks, and ensure accurate reconciliation across care transitions.
  • Promoting Patient Wellbeing: Play an active role in patient education around preventative care, healthy lifestyle choices, and signposting to appropriate services where necessary.

Aylesbury – Easily commutable from Luton, Oxford, Watford, MIlton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard
