About the Role

As a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber, you will play a key role in delivering safe, clinically sound, and effective care particularly in GLP-1 weight loss treatments. You will assess consultations, prescribe medications, and ensure prescriptions meet the highest safety and quality standards.

This role is critical to the ongoing development of digital pharmacy services. We are looking for a clinically experienced and motivated professional who is passionate about improving health outcomes and delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of GLP-1 weight loss treatments, performing all necessary clinical assessments and checks.

  • Ensure full compliance with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards for online pharmacy services.

  • Prescribe independently across a range of treatments, ensuring care is tailored to individual patient needs.

  • Contribute to the growth and development of innovative, patient-centred services.

  • Conduct regular clinical audits to improve prescribing safety and effectiveness.

  • Participate in the development and refinement of policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Work collaboratively with pharmacy and clinical teams to promote effective communication and service delivery.

  • Manage escalated patient concerns and deliver high-quality resolution and service.

  • Act as Responsible Pharmacist when required.

    Requirements

  • GPhC-registered pharmacist with Independent Prescriber qualification.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in pharmacy practice.

  • Proven expertise in prescribing GLP-1 medications for weight management.

  • Previous experience in an online pharmacy environment is preferred.

  • Deep understanding of clinical pathways, prescribing protocols, and best practices.

  • Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality care
