P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting a Packing Operator to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, temporary basis.

Main Responsibilities:

Support the Line Leader to ensure batches are produced on time and to the required quality standards and in accordance with relevant company procedures.

Ensure stock (bulk and components) is supplied to the line to support delivery to plan.

Safe use of manual handling equipment (electric pallet trucks etc).

Competent use of IFS.

Performing quality critical line clearances before and after a filling run.

Completion of in process checks and associated quality critical documentation.

Expert operation of the line, including minor troubleshooting.

Arrange Engineering support when needed.

Identifying continuous improvement and waste reduction opportunities and supporting their implementation.

Assist with batch and product changeovers.

Assess the team for competency in safe and effective operation of the line.

Assist with training of team in safe and effective operation of the line.

Support of Validation/trials/misc non-routine activities.

Able to occasionally deputise for the Line Leader in their absence to ensure production is sustained.

Person Specification:

Background in production, pharmaceutical, food or regulated industry (desired).

Leadership potential (desired).

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

A dynamic, self-motivated individual with a proactive ‘can do’ approach.

Good numeracy and verbal and written communication skills.

Strong health and safety awareness.

Be a competent computer user.

Have a high attention to detail.

Competent with documentation.

Resourceful with an aptitude for problem solving.

Working Hours:

Week One:

Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 14:00.

Friday 06:00 – 13:00.

Week Two:

Monday - Thursday 13:45 - 22:00.

Friday 12:45 – 18:45.

Competitive salary, salary reviewed annually with an annual bonus payable in May depending on Company performance.

Holiday is 25 days less 4 to cover Christmas closure plus bank holidays.

Pension offered at 5%, increasing to 6% after 5 years’ service, this is offered on a matched / salary exchange basis.

Life Assurance, payable at 4 times basic salary.

AXA PPP private health offered after a qualifying period.
