This key leadership role reports directly to the Sr. Director, Strategy & Operations function and leads the Organizational Effectiveness team for IQVIA Commercial Solutions Organisation. The Organizational Effectiveness team partners closely with Global Business Unit (GBU) and Regional Business Unit (RBU) leadership and teams to address business priorities and challenges through project execution utilizing, Lean, automation tools, strategic talent sourcing, change management, analytics, insights, ROI modeling and other fit-for-purpose solutions. Also, this team leads process optimization and streamlining activities, integration activities, and cost savings strategies.

Principle Accountabilities

As the leader of the Organizational Effectiveness function, you will build a collaborative, trusting and influential team environment which interfaces with business leaders across the organisation to drive business solutions and cost savings strategies. You will establish the function as a strategic partner for GBU and RBU stakeholders, fulfilling its commitment as the business operations center of excellence for the commercial solutions organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop short- and long-term operational strategies to manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation driving overall productivity & cost saving initiatives
  • Lead teams directly and through influence across multiple, complex programs, projects, and organizational boundaries
  • Strengthen Lean awareness, engagement, and usage across the GBU and RBU
  • Build best practices to implement standardized toolkits for change management and project / program management execution
  • Create and foster a thoughtful organisation wide strategic culture to optimize profits, ROI and cost savings
  • Spearhead operational excellence initiatives and track resulting annual run-rate savings
  • Act as a project management function for M&A business integration activities
  • Manage annual team goal setting and planning processes to ensure alignment with overall strategic & financial objectives
  • Forge operational and strategic relationships with business unit leaders, finance partners, human resource partners and global operations
  • Identify, recommend, and lead implementations of new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences or related field
  • Relevant industry (pharmaceutical/healthcare), with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a leadership capacity; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • The ideal candidate has exceptional business acumen, project management, leadership and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and time metrics
  • Adaptability to changing priorities
  • Excellent business and industry awareness staying current on trends and impact on the business
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent matrix and cultural team leadership skills
  • Strategic and innovative thinker
  • Strong problem resolution and negotiation skills
  • Excellent management skills establishing and maintaining trust while promoting growth and development
  • Experience building and scaling teams and systems
