We are growing our management team by hiring a Manufacturing Night Shift Manager. This person will lead and inspire a large team of 100+ Production Assistants, working together to produce over 14,000 semiconductor wafers each week.

What the Night Shift Manager will do

Reporting to the Site Production Manager in operations, you will be responsible for leading, engaging, and empowering a diverse and talented team, including Group Leaders, Deputy Group Leaders, and up to 100 Production Assistants, to meet set targets. You will work on a rotating shift-based role, 4 nights on and 4 nights off, 7 pm to 7 am, with a base salary of £48,000-£58,000 + 50% shift allowance (Up to £87,000+Bonus DOE).

As Shift Manager you will have responsibility and accountability for overall performance, activity, and adherence to business objectives with health and always in mind. This position will allow you to create a collaborative and dynamic working culture whilst working towards FAB deliverable targets including (starts, outs, and deliveries) You will also get the chance to facilitate employee engagement meetings with groups of Production Assistants and develop an auditable team administration system to increase flexibility and stretch targets.

Other responsibilities will include:



Establishing and implementing goals and objectives for your team

Work towards exceeding company targets to increase capacity when required

Reporting, analysis, and presentation of results within production

*

Ensuring on-time delivery of product

*

Fab throughput

*

Leading improvement projects such as product scrap prevention, productivity improvements, and tool utilisation improvements

*

Disciplinary and capability conformance of employees

*

FAB flexibility improvements

*

Managing a labour budget including holidays and overtime

What a Night Shift Manager will need:

*

Experience as a leader or manager in a high-volume, around the clock high tech manufacturing environment

*

Experience in industries such as or similar to semiconductor manufacturing, automotive & aerospace, pharmaceuticals, chemicals or electronics

*

Experience in analysing, digesting, and presenting data focused on set targets such as cycle times or similar

*

Experience in leading large teams

*

Basic to Intermediate Microsoft Office skills in (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

*

Effective communication skills both verbal and written

*

Attention to detail and Problem-solving skills

*

Coaching ,mentoring and motivational skills

Desirable but not essential:

*

Exposure and basic understanding of electronic products / PCBs

*

Semiconductor knowledge
