SYNLAB UK&I offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and driven National Sales Manager to drive our commercial strategy and expand our market presence. Your Impact:

  • Lead the Charge: Develop and execute a national sales vision, unifying our talented sales and account management teams to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Unlock Opportunities: Implement robust pipeline management, convert key opportunities, and spearhead targeted market expansion.
  • Strategic Partner: Collaborate directly with the Managing Director, influencing strategic decisions that help drive revenue and customer retention.
  • Drive Collaboration: Foster a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing to maximise cross-selling across our comprehensive service portfolio.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Team Development: Define and implement national sales strategies, build and empower a high-performing, integrated team, and cultivate a results-driven culture focused on achieving commercial success.
  • Key Client Engagement & Growth: Forge strong relationships with key accounts and new prospects, lead strategic client negotiations, and implement effective strategies to enhance client retention and achieve sustainable growth.
  • Operational Excellence & Performance Management: Streamline sales processes, ensure accurate forecasting and reporting, collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance service offerings, and drive the effective use of Salesforce.
  • Market Insight & Strategic Contribution: Provide valuable market feedback to inform product development and marketing initiatives, contribute to the continuous improvement of sales strategies, and provide updates to senior leadership on market trends and opportunities.


Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Extensive experience leading national sales teams, ideally within toxicology, pathology, or diagnostics
  • Proven success in consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving profitability
  • Exceptional leadership, team development, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • National travel flexibility, with the ability to work from and attend offices in Wales 2-3 times per week
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and integrating sales and customer service operations.


Desirable:

• Experience using Salesforce
