Mobile HVAC Engineer (UK South & France) | Full Time | Field-based role with travel to multiple sites| Standard working hours are 08:00 to 16:00, with some flexibility required depending on the nature of the work | £40,000 to £50,000 base salary but with overtime, on call retainer and work away bonus the engineers are clearing between £50,000 to £60,000 per annum

Our client works in areas designed for critical applications where precise conditioning of temperature and humidity is vital. Their industry recognised qualifications and knowledge allow them to develop and deliver the most energy-efficient systems available.

They are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Engineer to join their expanding technical team. This is a mobile role covering the southern UK with regular travel required and scheduled callout cover in France (2 weeks in 6). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, reactive callouts, fault finding, and remedial repairs across a variety of commercial and industrial sites within the Data Centre, Telecoms, Production, Theme Parks and Pharmaceutical Sectors

Are you the right person for the job?

  • City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent in HVAC or refrigeration (Level 3 advantageous)
  • Valid UK F-Gas certification (mandatory)
  • European F-Gas certification (desirable)
  • Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and fault-finding
  • A solid technical background in HVAC systems
  • Flexibility to travel and stay away for extended periods (up to 2 weeks at a time)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Good communication and customer service skills


What will your role look like?

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC systems
  • Respond to and resolve reactive callouts and breakdowns
  • Conduct fault finding and implement effective remedial repairs
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete job sheets on a laptop/tablet
  • Participate in an on-call rota (2 weeks in 6) for work in France
  • Travel across UK South and France sites as required - travel, accommodation, and transport are fully provided when abroad
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and industry regulations
  • Communicate professionally with clients and provide a high standard of service
