Everything you need to know about the role


As a Midweight Medical Writer, you’ll be central to the agency’s creative and strategic output, writing a mix of agile and more in-depth materials — from emails and leave pieces to detail aids and websites. You’ll get to:


  • Translate complex scientific data into clear, compelling copy that drives behavioural change among HCPs and patients
  • Ensure all content is scientifically accurate and compliant with industry standards (mainly ABPI)
  • Become a go-to expert on assigned therapy areas and products
  • Collaborate closely with client services, creative, and digital teams to bring campaigns to life
  • Present your work and medical insights in client meetings
  • Support and mentor junior writers when needed
  • Keep pace with a fast-moving workload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

We’re looking for someone who combines scientific expertise with creative flair.


You should:

  • Have at least 1.5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical advertising (or 3 years in a related area like medical communications or health marketing)
  • Be confident crafting copy that’s scientifically sound, on brief and engaging
  • Understand the workings of an advertising agency environment
  • Be familiar with content management and compliance tools like Veeva PromoMats
  • Have excellent communication skills and the confidence to present to clients
  • Show strong attention to detail and a solid grasp of grammar
  • Be able to adapt tone and format for different audiences and materials
  • Have a thorough understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice
  • Be comfortable working with standard software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
