Microbiologist - Part Time Weekends

Pertemps Reading are recruiting for a Microbiologist to work at a Pharmaceutical Microbiology laboratory in Wokingham.


Contract Duration:        6 Months

Hours of Work:                Saturday and Sunday | 11am – 4pm

Start Date:                         ASAP

Pay Rate:                           £14.74 - £18.43 per hour


Weekend WorkingTesting for Routine Analysis (Endotoxins, Bioburdens, Total Viable Count, Environmental Monitoring)


As a Microbiologist, you will be responsible for:

• Perform a range of basic routine analysis using (list techniques) under supervision of a senior member of staff
  
  
• Operate basic lab equipment 
  
  
• Be competent in the use of generic and specific software packages required for the role: Laboratory’s LIMS system, Q-Pulse, etc
  
  
• Perform Lab admin and housekeeping duties
  
  
• Provide high quality customer service at all times by ensuring effective organisation of assigned workload, integrity of analytical data generated and timely/accurate provision of results
  
  

To be considered for this Microbiologist role, you should possess thefollowing:

• Microbiological Background/Degree preferred
  
  
• Scientific understanding of basic lab equipment
  
  
• English fluency (written and spoken)
  
  
• Meticulous attention to detail and an ability to follow written instructions
  
  
• Accountable, honest, hardworking and able to work efficiently in a team
