It’s an exciting time for GALDERMA as we enter the biologics market in Dermatology. This is GALDERMA’s first entrance into the Dermatology Speciality area which brings a real sense of opportunity for the organisation to establish themselves within this field.

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for developing and maintaining a scientific engagement plan with key opinion leaders in their region to provide comprehensive medical and scientific education to external stakeholders relevant to Galderma's initiatives and areas of interest, bringing insights back to Galderma to inform its strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains a scientific engagement plan with key opinion leaders in their region to provide comprehensive medical and scientific education to external customers relevant to Galderma's initiatives and areas of interest.
  • Develops a network of key opinion leaders in the field and maintains ongoing professional relationships to gather insights that provide medical and scientific support for Galderma's medicines and areas of interest.
  • Provides scientific and technical support for field-based sales force, behaving as a credible partner to support their immediate needs through non-promotional training, education, presentations, and other engagement.
  • Delivers credible scientific and medical presentations to key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Produces, reviews, and updates scientifically approved presentations and assets for assigned therapeutic areas as appropriate.
  • Provides field-based support to assist Medical Information in dealing with inquiries.
  • Maintains knowledge and awareness of clinical research and publications in Dermatology.
  • Supports Galderma research by identifying investigators, undertaking scientific exchange, and providing feedback and insight to medical and clinical teams.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Medical, Pharmacy, or higher degree qualification (e.g., MSc, PhD) in a relevant life sciences field.
  • Demonstrated experience in dermatology and/or biologics.
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred, particularly in a customer-facing role.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at various levels, including to key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrable experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented (matrix) environment and partner with different stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to develop good relationships and credibility with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and of regulatory processes.
  • Working knowledge of the NHS, including the ability to understand clinical priorities and how processes work within this system.
  • Frequent travel will be required.
