For our client, a medical device company in the UK, we are currently seeking a:

Position: Medical Device Engineer

Location:UK

Contract type:Full-time

Sector:Medical Technology

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on R&D work to improve material formulation for performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Design and optimisation of production processes with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Manufacturing of devices under ISO 13485 standards on a pilot scale.
  • Development, refinement, and validation of testing protocols.
  • Responsibility for maintenance and qualification of lab equipment.
  • Detailed documentation and data management according to strict regulatory guidelines.
  • Close collaboration with the technical team and regular reporting on progress.

Qualifications:

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering or Life Sciences.
  • Experience in a bio/chemistry lab and with polymer materials.
  • Skills in experimental design and data analysis.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for medical device development.
  • Independent working style, reliability, team spirit, commitment, and willingness to learn.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, problem-solving skills, and time management.
