We’re recruiting for a new Mechanical and Electrical Building Services (M&E) Quantity Surveyor for a specialist Critical infrastructure Engineering company based in Essex.

Salary to 75K -plus benefits package. 40 Hours per week. Exceptional Career opportunity with an interesting specialist M&E Design and Build / Advisory Contractor.

Our client delivers a comprehensive range of services to meet the needs of commercial property owners operating in a number of industry sectors. From design and construction to fit-out and maintenance. Their defining quality is their ability to manage projects by keeping clients' needs at the heart of everything they do. They take a collaborative and integrated approach to each of their four core business areas:· Engineering Projects; Service & Maintenance; Interior Fit Out; Design & Consultancy.

You will take financial and commercial responsibility for a portfolio of M&E Building Services contracts. ensuring they are cost effectively deliver as well as additional services, within legislative and contractual obligations. You will also be responsible for the pro-active financial support of the delivery teams to process monthly valuations, applications, forecasts and any variations.

You will have a proven background as a Quantity Surveyor in the Mechanical and Electrical industry ideally within a Critical Systems, Pharmaceutical or Data Centre environment. You will be able to work on multiple projects at a range of values whilst demonstrating leadership and management style.

Ideally you should hold a Quantity Surveying and/or Construction / Engineering Qualification (HND or Degree Level)

You will generate studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs pre and post contract as required as well as report any opportunities you have identified with existing and new clients and provide information and assistance to estimating team to allow them to tender/quote. The role will also require you to prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, schedule of rates etc.
