Senior M&E Project Manager – Data Centre & Industrial Projects – Bristol, UK

A leading international building services contractor is seeking a highly experienced Senior M&E Project Manager to lead full mechanical and electrical project delivery across high-value, technically demanding construction projects in the UK and Europe.

As the Senior M&E Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of M&E delivery—planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and client interface. You will be the main point of contact for the delivery of large-scale mechanical and electrical works, ensuring quality, compliance, and programme objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project start-up meetings and ensure all M&E requirements are understood and aligned with specifications and client expectations.

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of all technical submittals, RFIs, and compliance documentation.

  • Manage labour, material planning, and delivery of plant and equipment in line with programme milestones.

  • Maintain up-to-date progress reports, tracking variations, and ensuring changes are documented and costed appropriately.

  • Liaise with clients, main contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to coordinate M&E activities and resolve technical issues.

  • Drive project-specific commissioning programmes and manage the commissioning process on site.

  • Monitor quality, health, and safety standards throughout the M&E installation phase.

  • Chair regular meetings with internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring all project deliverables are on track.

  • Deliver comprehensive snag lists, oversee resolution, and lead the final handover process.

    Candidate Profile:

  • Degree or trade-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.

  • 7+ years’ experience in project management roles within the M&E contracting or construction sector.

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale M&E projects in sectors such as data centres, industrial, or pharmaceutical.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and commercial acumen.

  • Knowledge of UK construction regulations and commissioning practices.

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple subcontractors on live projects.
