Market Access Manager – 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for navigating the complexities of market access in the UK healthcare landscape? We’re seeking a Market Access Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract to drive access and adoption of a specialised medication across England.


About the Role:


Reporting to the Head of Market Access, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and executing access strategies, engaging with key stakeholders, and ensuring optimal product positioning within the NHS. This is a field-based role requiring extensive national travel.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement market access strategies to secure pricing, reimbursement, and formulary inclusion.
  • Collaborate with ICBs and support HTA submissions for devolved nations.
  • Engage with payers and healthcare decision-makers to drive funding discussions.
  • Analyse market trends and report on ICB account progress.
  • Work cross-functionally with commercial, medical, and sales teams to align access goals.
  • Ensure compliance with ABPI Code of Practice.


What We’re Looking For:


  • Degree in life sciences or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in pharma, with a strong background in market access and formulary success.
  • Deep understanding of NHS structures, pricing models, and healthcare policy.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
