Are you a hands-on, solutions-driven Engineer looking to make an impact in the medical device and life science industry? We’re hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing and innovative team in Waterford who are a design and manufacturing specialist that partners with industry leaders & innovators, supporting them to develop products that save, improves & enhances peoples lives.

You’ll be a key player in supporting production, leading process improvements, and ensuring the efficient and compliant manufacture of high-quality medical products. You will work across cross-functional teams, contribute to new product introductions, and play an instrumental role in shaping the future of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for improved quality and compliance

  • Support the introduction of new products (NPI) into production

  • Create and maintain SOPs, process maps, and work instructions

  • Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives

  • Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling to enhance production flow

  • Lead or support root-cause investigations and problem-solving activities (e.g. CAPA, 8D, FMEA)

    Ideal Candidate

  • A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Biomedical or related)

  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a regulated environment

  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 or similar quality systems

  • Experience with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), lean principles, and continuous improvement

  • Proficiency in CAD and MS Office; ERP experience is a plus
