Maintenance Technician Job Purpose:Working within a small well-established business to operate/develop and manage a Construction Environmental Monitoring System for Clients across the UK, with the applicant being based in the Sittingbourne, Sheppey, Rainham, Kent area.

This job covers a wide field of roles in the vibration, noise, and dust monitoring sector across construction, demolition and piling sites at various locations around the UK.

Maintenance Technician Job Duties

  • Setup and implementation of environmental monitoring programs with the support of existing staff.
  • The Maintenance Technician, benefiting from flexible working hours and the option to work remotely, will be expected to travel daily to various company locations. This role involves engaging with a diverse array of sites to install new equipment, conduct site visits for maintenance or inspections, replace existing equipment and collect or deliver equipment as needed. The position offers dynamic and varied responsibilities across different environments, requiring adaptability and hands-on expertise to ensure seamless operations and maintenance across all sites.
  • Liaise with the VMS Project Manager and Operations Manager on a regular basis regarding the installation of vibration, noise, and dust monitoring systems and obtain accurate photographic and detailed records of the locations and surrounding areas.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience

  • Ability to use software programs out in the field using an iPad.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound ability to interpret and analyse data in a result orientated environment.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Health & Safety (CSCS Card) would be an advantage.
  • Capability to deal with continuous changes and new technology.
  • Ability to work at height.
