I am currently recruiting for an established Food Manufacturing client based in Trafford Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on equipment and property.

The Candidate

Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar.

Experience working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of general maintenance practices

Experience with Planned and Preventative maintenance.

Knowledge of health and safety practices

The Role

Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements

Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.

Plan and Schedule repairs on site.

Liaise with external contractors to complete additional requirements on site.

Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.

Communicate with production regarding downtime.

Complete the required documentation.

Member of the HACCP team

Maintain clean and safe working environment for yourself and other employees.

Work within a team and on his own.

Adhere to Personal hygiene rules outlined by company.

Follow operating procedures relevant for tasks carried out.

Complying with Company hygiene procedures and schedules ensuring the workstation is maintained in hygienic conditions; operate clean as you go policy all the time.

Follow Health and Safety requirements all the time.

Utilizes continuous improvement techniques and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.

Carry out any other reasonable task as directed by supervisor/manager.
