Position: Maintenance Operative
Salary: £30,000 - depending on experience
Location: Essex
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 16:00 - Early finish Friday

Proactive are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Operative to begin work for a leading manufacturing and engineering company based in Essex. This is a permanent position and an exciting role working for a market leader within the automated machinery and pharmaceutical industry offering ample opportunity for progression and development.

This person needs to possess a can-do attitude approach to the role. The position requires a good attention to detail and collaboration with team members to meet company requirements.

Systematic and diligent approach to work.
Able to collaborate effectively with people across departments and shop floor staff.
Well-organised and practical interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven teamwork, attention to detail and good problem-solving solver.
Hands-on experience in the tools and techniques of continuous improvement.
Excellent English language skills - both written and spoken.Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks around the workspaces.
Assist with scheduled cleaning, repair, and maintenance.
Adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
Adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Organise areas to facilitate efficient task completion.
Help to support stock management & inventory checks to ensure adequate supplies are available at all times.
Performing general maintenance and repairs on property fixtures and fittings and general grounds maintenance.
Minor painting and decorating work within the building if and when required.
Minor plumbing maintenance activities such as washer/plug replacement, descaling items, unblocking sinks.
Assist with packing and unpacking of equipment.
Change light bulbs/fittings and basic electrical works if needed.
Repair, install and build furniture, shelving, wall mounting of TVs, pictures, etc.
Routine ad-hoc landscaping, mowing lawns, trimming hedges, sweeping and clearing leaves.
Supervision of maintenance contractors when they are on-site.
Deliver and collect parcels and equipment to and from various sites.
Undertake any ad-hoc tasks deemed necessary by the Management.How to Apply:
