Gi Pro Maintenance are partnering with a food manufacturer who have cemented their legacy for over 150 years, part of a FTSE 100 multi-billion pound manufacturing group, operating with 50+ locations across the world. Working alongside a maintenance manager, senior engineer and three other engineers who are cultivating a first time right culture. The company encourages skill development, knowledge-sharing and taking ownership of your work. The type of machinery you can expect to work on are industrial mixers/blenders, dosing systems, conveyors, vessels, pumps, wrappers, bagging machinery, mills and sifters. Beyond just your skillset, we're looking for candidates who are excellent communicators, problem solvers and passionate about the work they do.

Typical duties:

  • Consistently follow all safety, environmental, and health protocols.
  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently.
  • Accurately record all maintenance activities, including root causes and parts used, in the maintenance system.
  • Assess contractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for work permit approvals.
  • Maintain maintenance facilities in a clean, organised, and safe condition at all times.

Desirable experience:

  • Previous experience with CMMS and a preventative/predictive maintenance setting.
  • Experience with HMI/PLCS/DCS/SCADA fault finding and instrument calibration.
  • Apprentice trained or holds a Level 3 qualification (NVQ/BTEC/EAL/C&G)
  • Previous experience within food manufacturing or pharmaceuticals industries is strongly desired but engineers from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply
