We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to drive impactful projects in music technology and machine learning in a long-term client’s project - a global leader that transformed the tech industry through its groundbreaking innovations in computer software, personal computers and mobile tablets.

Essential functions

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for several critical activities, these include:

  1. Gathering and processing large datasets using Scala and Spark.
  2. Improving the overall performance of our machine learning workflows.
  3. Tuning the training process to achieve optimal throughput.
  4. Playing a vital role in deploying and maintaining our model on a Kubernetes platform, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.

Qualifications

Proven experience in ML research demonstrated through relevant patents, whitepapers, technical books, or significant time spent as a research scientist in an industrial setting.

Extensive experience in researching and building predictive/discriminative deep neural networks. Note: Strong data analysis and statistical skills alone are insufficient for this role.

Proficiency in data collection, ideally using Scala/Spark.

Knowledge in tuning training throughput for model training efficiency.

Experience with Kubernetes deployment and associated technologies.

A quick learner with the ability to adapt and tackle complex challenges.

Would be a plus

  1. PhD with an academic background and mindset.
  2. Background in music (e.g., music computing, digital signal processing).
  3. Science publications demonstrating a commitment to research excellence.
  4. Physical presence in London for in-office collaboration.
