EMEA Logistics & 3PL Manager – 12 Month FTC (Potential to be extended)

We're hiring on behalf of a global pharmaceutical powerhouse with an established footprint in the EMEA region. They operate with a deep commitment to compliance and innovation, and are now looking for a seasoned logistics leader to join their high-performing EMEA Supply Chain team.


The Opportunity

AsEMEA Logistics & 3PL Manager, you will take the reins of end-to-end logistics, warehousing, trade compliance, and distribution across the EMEA region — including oversight of controlled substances and cold chain processes. You'll lead on strategic logistics partnerships, ensure GDP/GMP compliance, and drive excellence across a multi-country pharmaceutical distribution network.

This role reports into theChief Manager, Logistics EMEAand also provides dotted-line leadership to aSenior Logistics OfficerandSenior 3PL Officer. It’s an influential position with real visibility and a strong project pipeline.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop logistics strategies to support commercial and manufacturing supply flows across EMEA.
  • Lead relationships with key 3PL and freight partners, managing performance against SLAs and ensuring commercial alignment.
  • Manage all inbound/outbound transportation, customs brokerage, and EU distribution for both ambient and temperature-sensitive products.
  • Ensure GDP and regulatory compliance across European distribution activities.
  • Act as SME for logistics operations involving controlled substances and high-risk goods.
  • Manage logistics budgets (fixed & variable), contracts, and rate negotiations.
  • Partner cross-functionally across QA, Regulatory, Commercial, and Manufacturing to deliver best-in-class logistics solutions.
  • Leverage SAP (and other digital tools) to drive process improvement, reporting accuracy (EU MIS), and operational efficiency.
  • Drive and support major logistics projects, including transport validation, process improvement and system upgrades.


What You’ll Need

  • A degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or similar; MSc or MBA highly advantageous.
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical logistics or supply chain, ideally covering multiple EU countries.
  • Hands-onSAPexperience (minimum 5 years) is essential.
  • Deep knowledge ofGDP/GMP compliance, European customs, and controlled drug regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels across a matrix structure.
  • Proven expertise managing temperature-controlled and complex pharmaceutical logistics.
  • Analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a strategic approach to logistics optimisation.
