Locum Pharmacist required ASAP – Outpatient Dispensary (Luton)

Position: Locum Pharmacist
Location: Luton, NHS Hospital Service
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3 months
Working Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Pay Rate: £24 - £30 per hour (via Umbrella)

Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum Pharmacist to join the Outpatient Dispensary team at a large NHS hospital in Luton. This role offers an immediate start and is expected to last for 3 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for screening and checking prescriptions in the outpatient department. Community experienced pharmacists are encouraged to apply, though the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Screen and check outpatient prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy and clinical guidelines.
Provide high-quality pharmaceutical services to the outpatient department.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Requirements:

Previous community pharmacy experience is essential.
Ability to manage a busy and fast-paced dispensary.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Valid UK GPhC registration.
