About the role

Our Life Science Insurance Broker will be responsible for advising and securing appropriate insurance coverage for clients within the Life Sciences industry, including Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Healthcare & Clinical Research companies.

This new role will involve risk assessment, policy negotiation, and client relationship management to ensure tailored insurance solutions that meet the specific needs of Medtech & Life Science businesses.


What you'll get up to:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the Life Sciences sector.
  • Assess clients’ risk exposures and provide tailored insurance solutions.
  • Provide expert guidance on industry-specific risks such as Product Liability, Clinical Trials, & Professional Indemnity.
  • Handle client queries, policy renewals, and mid-term adjustments efficiently.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential liabilities in Medtech & Life Science operations.
  • Work with insurers to develop specialised coverage solutions, including bespoke wordings.
  • Negotiate policy terms, coverage limits, and premiums with underwriters.
  • Ensure competitive pricing and appropriate coverage for clients.
  • Stay updated on emerging risks in Medtech, Biotech, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Innovations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters.


About you:

  • Experience in insurance broking &/or underwriting within Medtech & Life Science.
  • Proven ability to negotiate with insurers and structure tailored coverage solutions.
  • Excellent communication, client relationship, and advisory skills.
  • Attention to detail in policy documentation and compliance matters.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial insurance products.
  • Cert CII qualification.
