Legal Counsel UK & Ireland (part time 2.5 days per week)

ROLE PURPOSE


We are looking for a legal counsel to join us in the UK. Ideally, you are qualified to practice law in the UK and have at least five years of experience from the life sciences industry. Experience from working in a cross jurisdictional environment is a plus.


As legal counsel you will as part of and in close collaboration with the country leadership teams be responsible for ensuring that all legal matters within the sphere of local operations are adequately resolved. You will report to the head of the International Legal Team. The international legal team is part of the Global Legal function. The legal director is expected to possess a solid degree of commercial savviness in addition to a well-developed legal generalist toolbox.


Namely you will be responsible for contract drafting and negotiation, advising on compliance, marketing law, business development projects, IP, Privacy, legal governance, and regulatory matters. You will also be required to managing disputes and litigations, providing internal training on relevant legal and compliance topics as needed and overseeing external counsel and budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified to practice law in the UK.
  • Preferably at least 5 years of experience from the Life Sciences Industry
  • Experience from private legal practice is a plus – but not a requirement
  • Strong personal drive and ability to work independently
  • High level of integrity
