Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time

As the Lead Piping Engineer, you will:

  1. Communicate closely with other disciplines to ensure all piping (Supplier and all other disciplines i.e., Process, Instrument, Mechanical as well as safety) requirements are addressed in the design, layout, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
  2. Provide value-adding knowledge to constructability reviews and take consideration of layout restrictions, ergonomics, safety, utilities, and maintainability.
  3. Provide the checking to construction Job cards, Work packs and understanding of project close-out requirements.
  4. Generate, check, and approve calculations against design codes and best practices.
  5. Be the Piping subject master and be expected to perform the role of technical authority when delegated and have experience in interacting with Client's TA when required.
  6. Direct planning and progress reporting and maintain project plans, recognizing changes from Client SoR/Project Scope of Work (change management) and highlighting impacts on cost/schedule and plan.

About You

You’ll have experience of:

  1. Estimating and CTR development, Client-facing experience (would be advantageous) and having negotiation and conflict resolution experience (technical deviation/queries).
  2. Managing budgets, producing scope of work, and setting project objectives. Creating and maintaining Piping MDR.
  3. Creating and implementing cost controls (Including Man-hour control), monitoring and managing team performance and their productivity.
  4. Managing, developing, and appraising the team/personnel, providing technical guidance and aiding the development of colleagues.
  5. Piping corrosion and erosion, Material standards, Material Mechanical testing and NDE and material certification is essential for the role.
  6. Valve and piping components and relevant codes and standards (for manufacture and testing) is essential and to be demonstrable.

Qualifications

  1. BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline.
  2. Chartered Engineer status preferred.
  3. Significant, demonstrable experience in Detailed Design Engineering and Engineering Checking.
  4. Detailed understanding of all Engineering disciplines.
  5. Knowledge and understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards.
  6. Understand the application of Autodesk Design products.
  7. Competent in the use of MS Office applications.
  8. Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS & MIST (advantageous).
