PD&MS Group now has an excellent opportunity for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team on a full-time, employee basis. This role can be based in our Aberdeen or Glasgow office, with a flexible hybrid working model available along with a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time

As the Lead Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Act as the discipline focal point, providing support across the business and client streams in Hydrogen, Decarbonisation, Oil and Gas, and Renewables.

Manage, contribute, and supervise a team of discipline engineers responsible for the technical execution of engineering projects.

Manage, execute, and support discipline to deliver engineering and design of technical projects.

Provide engineering accountability in final signature and approval of deliverables.

Provide leadership, continual development, mentorship, and guidance to all team members.

Resource management and progress reporting in deliverables and plan attainment.

Complete annual performance reviews.

Anticipate, manage, and resolve issues as the focal point of contact for the project discipline delivery.

Complete competence reviews and ensure everyone within the team has a valid competence assessment.

Promote and facilitate regular team communications to build good working relationships within the team.

Identify and manage discipline-specific software and tools, ensuring they are controlled and maintained.

Work with the Head of Department to develop training and learning opportunities for the discipline.

Support the Head of Department and Quality Manager to ensure business systems and processes are adequate and match current and future requirements.

Execute all engineering in compliance with industry legislation, codes, standards, and PD&MS’s processes and procedures.

Have extensive experience and knowledge of industrial hazardous and non-hazardous areas electrical distribution and utility systems, and the management of Change processes in brownfield modifications and new build environments.

Demonstrable knowledge of industry-specific systems and their design and operational requirements, including drilling packages, utilities supporting legacy and new-era drilling systems, and power generation (diesel and gas turbines).

Proactively seek business development opportunities through engagement with clients when opportunities arise.

Support the Business Development team with sales strategy and marketing.

Contribute technically and commercially to Invitations to Tender, with the aim of securing work and contracts for PD&MS.

Collaborate across all business units to deliver in the best interests of the group.

Work primarily at the company's offices, with occasional requirements to work at client offices or remote locations.

Ensure the delivery of all discipline engineering and design, with designs being suitable, robust, and compliant with PD&MS’s HSEQ processes and procedures.

Manage discipline KPIs, determining and setting goals each financial year with the Head of Department.

About You

You’ll have experience in:

EPC, Brownfield, and Greenfield projects.

Detailed Design Engineering and Engineering Checking.

Understanding of all Engineering disciplines.

Knowledge of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards.

Application of Autodesk Design products.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Qualifications

BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline.

Chartered Engineer status preferred.

Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS & MIST (Preferred).
