Northwick Poweris an affiliate of Air Liquide and is an industrial processor of food waste located in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire. The plant has been designed to handle a wide range of waste feedstocks. Through a process called Anaerobic Digestion it utilises the waste as a raw material to create methane, which in turn is used to generate electricity and gas both of which are exported to the national grids and are 100% renewable.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
We are currently searching for anAnaerobic Digestion Lab Technicianto join our team in Chipping Campden, and be responsible for looking after the plant biology and day to day testing of the AD Plant.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating as part of a dedicated operations team overseeing all AD and Power Plant procedures
- Performing daily routine tests and carrying out analysis using technical instruments
- Undertaking samples from the AD treatment plant
- Recording and reporting on findings and results
- Ensure quality controls are maintained for peak plant efficiency, and promptly report any non-conforming results.
- Perform daily sampling, testing, record-keeping, and reporting on-site. Monitor and assist in the operational management of the Anaerobic Digestion Plant in line with site protocols.
- Work closely with management and operators conducting tests on a range of materials to meet operational requirements and quality standards for final products (e.g., fertilizers, specialty gases).
- Take a proactive approach to resolving process issues.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and Codes of Practice, including the creation and implementation of Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Are you a MATCH?
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally working with food or beverage products. We also look for:
- Proven experience in a laboratory setting or food testing role
- Strong communication skills
- A problem solving mindset
- Relevant education up to A level, or a relevant laboratory qualification
- Any experience in anaerobic digestion or other process environments is highly desirable but not essential
