Do you have experience working within a laboratory environment and supervised or managed individuals? Do you want to join a thriving Renewable Energy business where you can gain specialist and highly valuable experience in the bioenergy sector?

This company specialises in the production of biogas through the process of anaerobic digestion at a number of sites across Scotland and have been continuously expanding throughout recent years largely due to their success in partnering with major distilleries. They have a number of new sites in planning, construction and commissioning phases across Scotland and are also beginning to move into other areas of Renewable Energy supported by the recent establishment of offices in England.

In this role you will take full accountability for the overall management and operation of the laboratory, ensuring a safe, efficient and compliant environment. You will oversee a variety of tasks within the laboratory, including delivering data to demonstrate compliance with PPC permits and accreditation schemes and operating mini digesters for the purpose of running trials to optimise digestion processes.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate working within a laboratory environment and have experience supervising or managing staff members. You should hold technical expertise, including knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment and safety protocols.

    The Person:
  • Experience working within a laboratory setting and hold supervisory or management experience
  • Holds strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment and safety protocols
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team and delegate tasks
  • Holds a Masters or PhD in relevant scientific field (e.g. biology, chemistry, biochemistry)
