Scientist 2 - Physical Testing

We are now looking for a Lab Manager / Quality Lead (combined role) to work within the Atmospheric and Environment Science department to ensure that our laboratories and associated assets are fit for purpose and well maintained, our procedures and activities are compliant with regulations and our people are provided with the appropriate guidance and support to operate safely and securely to create long-term strategic value for the group and NPL. Coordination of, and responding to, data requests or surveys for NPL information systems, and educating staff in the operation of NPL systems will be important parts of the role.

 You will be a key part of the management team to ensure our work meet the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 through NPL’s Quality Assurance, and Health and Safety Systems.

 The majority of time will be spent in an office and laboratory environment at our Teddington site but there will be occasional off-site working too.

 We are now working in a hybrid way, with a mix of remote and office working. We strive to offer a great work life balance - if you are looking for part time or flexible options, we will try to make this work where business possible. This will be dependent on the kind of role you do and part of the business you work in.
