We are seeking an experiencedLaboratory Managerto oversee the launch and management of cutting-edge facilities inChemistry, Biology, Physics, andDesignon a London campus.

From day one, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing high-tech teaching environments, supporting innovative learning experiences for over 1,500 students in the first year of operation.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the launch and operations of three teaching laboratories and two makerspaces, ensuring they are fully functional, well-equipped, and regulatory compliant.
- Recruit, manage, and lead a team of technical staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Manage budgets, resource planning, and procurement of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and consumables.
- Establish and maintain health and safety standards, including waste and storage management.
- Collaborate with academic staff and a global network, with potential international travel opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing multi-user facilities in a higher education setting, with a strong focus on health and safety.
- Proven leadership skills in coordinating technical teams and strategic projects.
- Expertise in budget management, resource planning, and laboratory operations.
- Exceptional communication, organisational, and IT skills.
- Desirable certifications: IST, IOSH, NEBOSH, or biological/chemical safety officer accreditation.
