About the Role:

You will be joining a skilled and experienced team on a temporary6 month contract, supporting the small-scale production of perovskites. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced, dynamic chemistry start-up environment.

We’re seeking candidates with prior industry experience in a chemistry laboratory, a solid understanding of health and safety protocols, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  • As part of our Scale up team, you will be working with Scale up chemists to support the company pilot line development.
  • Operate small scale production of perovskites nanocrystals and dispersion following agreed recipes and process.
  • Performing perovskites nanocrystals quality control measurement.
  • Keeping and recording detailed records of production batches and process and quality control checks.
  • Ensuring equipment is cleaned and maintained.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Reporting issues and suggesting improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with the scale up team to support continuous improvement.

Experience & Attributes:

  • Degree in Chemistry or related disciplines.
  • Experience working with common chemical and optical analytical methods.
  • Capability to follow precise synthetic protocols and ensure reproducibility.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills, and the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Happy to do repetitive lab work.
  • Good time management and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated, well organised and proactive learner.

Advantage:

  • Experience working within industry and/or a chemistry laboratory.
  • Experience in new materials synthetical scale up / pilot line production or similar.
