About the Role:

As part of a structured succession plan, this role is key to the long-term strength of engineering capability at this site. You will gain hands-on experience with complex chemical processes, working alongside experienced professionals and learning from the best. With a strong focus on efficiency, reliability, and innovation, you will support real-time manufacturing improvements that make a global impact.

The business can offer a clear route to chartership, supported by experienced mentors, project opportunities and exposure to industry-leading manufacturing systems.

Key tasks:

Delivering process engineering support including fault diagnosis, root cause analysis and resolving plant problems
Collection and analysis and reporting of data
Working on a wide range of projects including; process optimisation, reliability improvements, pilot plant development and upgrades
Analysing and solving technical problems with a focus on sustainability and efficiency
Collaborating across departments to implement technical improvements
Lead and contribute to Risk Assessments, COSHH, DSEAR, PUWER and HAZOPS

Requirements:

A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Process Engineering or similar Scientific discipline
Minimum of 1 year experience in industry or a relevant industrial placement
Proven technical competence and ability to understand complex chemical processes and operating plants
A strong interest in chemical process development and optimisation
A natural problem-solver with excellent communication and analytical skills
A drive to grow, develop and become chartered
