Role Overview:

As the Head of IT, you will provide strategic vision and leadership in developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with the overarching goals of our manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for building a competitive edge by proactively creating world-class, high-quality IT, Digital, and Analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Execution:

  • Collaborate with site and head office teams to manage a diverse project portfolio focused on the selection, acquisition, development, and implementation of major information systems.
  • Oversee the technology budget for the manufacturing sites, providing accurate cost estimates and tracking expenditures to ensure optimal ROI while balancing financial discipline with future growth.
  • Build a future-ready technology team at the sites by attracting, retaining, and upskilling top industry talent.

Compliance & Information Security:

  • Collaborate with the Piramal Quality e-Compliance (QeC) team to ensure quality compliance as per defined SOPs and guidelines in accordance with 21 CFR regulations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable engagement with all levels across the sites.
  • Strong leadership abilities, including the capacity to manage and develop teams effectively.
  • A solid understanding of portfolio, program, and project management, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex change programs.
  • Proactively recommend IT solutions to the site leadership team, considering site vision, priorities, and industry trends while bringing an outside-in perspective.
  • Drive technology innovation to create user-friendly solutions that enhance the overall user experience.
  • Act as a strategic business partner for the sites, identifying opportunities for differentiated technology capabilities and solutions.
  • Champion and act as a change agent to accelerate the necessary changes for creating and sustaining technology capabilities.
  • Serve as a thought leader on emerging digital business models and technologies.

Enable Business Growth:

  • Drive IT integration following the acquisition of manufacturing sites.
  • Lead IT strategic and operational planning and implementation to achieve site goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of technology solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of information systems, digital transformation, and analytics.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful technology implementations.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and ensuring ROI.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
