Looking for an individual working in customer service/supply chain in a chemical manufacturer or distributor who wants to step up to an account management role in the West Midlands. Great opportunity to kick-start a career in technical sales and manage several key accounts for a leading speciality chemicals manufacturer.

Title: Internal Sales Executive - Speciality Chemicals

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £35k - £45k (dependent upon experience) + benefits

Term: Permanent

SRG is exclusively partnered with a well-respected, global company who manufacture and supply a huge range of speciality chemicals and additives to a wide range of industries including coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE). With a genuine drive for innovation, they are now looking for a Customer Service Representative or Supply Chain Executive from a chemical manufacturer or distributor to join them as an Internal Sales Executive and manage several accounts. This is an amazing opportunity for a Chemistry graduate looking to utilise their degree outside the lab and pivot into a customer-facing, commercial role.

Role / Description

Managing several accounts across a range of CASE customers
Organising shipping and tracking logistics of customer orders
Being a key point of contact for multiple external stakeholders including regulatory, supply chain and logistics amongst others
Being a key point of contact internally for any account queries including product specifications, MSDS, shipping documentation etc
Understanding customer purchasing needs to accurately forecast
Updating customer pricing on a quarterly basis
Very occasional international travel to customer sites and conferences
Keeping abreast of product development & trends in specific industry and project areas.

Requirements

Recently graduated in Chemistry, Polymer Science or a closely related subject
Several years' recent experience in a Customer Service/Supply Chain role in a chemical manufacturer or distributor
Willing and able to be on site in Wolverhampton 3 days a week
A proactive approach and drive to deliver exceptional customer service
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
