Clinical: a broad portfolio of human clinical in vitro diagnostic products, workflows and services focused on three therapeutic areas:

  • Reproductive Health: NIPT, Cystic Fibrosis and other rapid aneuploidy tests
  • Precision Medicine: DPYD genotyping assay
  • Infectious Diseases: Winterplex, multiplex winter respiratory PCR panel

Instrumentation: a portfolio of next generation size selection DNA sample preparation platforms and rapid PCR machines, including:

  • Ranger® Technology: automated DNA sample preparation and target enrichment technology
  • genesig q16 and q32 real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR) instruments

Research Use Only:range of assays and services for the life science industry:

  • Design, manufacture, and supply of high-performance qPCR assays and workflows for use in human health, agriculture, veterinary and environmental, to support global health organisations and the research industry
  • Pharmaceutical research services: whole genome sequencing (WGS) / whole exome sequencing (WES)

Description of role:

We are looking to recruit a full-time and permanent Inside Sales Specialist.

Reporting into the General Manager, Novacyt Group you will be responsible for managing and growing all small to medium Life Science accounts and distribution partners across global markets. You will be working in collaboration with the field-based Sales Managers and Regional VP’s, well as the General Manager to maximize sales and growth for our full Novacyt Group RUO product portfolio into all market

As Inside Sales/Account Management, Life Science Sales you will be expected to identify, develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships, identify the most profitable markets, create opportunities and agreements to ensure that you are gaining the highest amount of revenue for the business.

Measured by the achievement of growth and financial targets for the identified accounts and countries.

You will be expected to issue and maintain pricing for both direct customers and regional distributors, produce quotations and manage an active account pipeline through the SalesForce CRM system.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Responsible for the implementation of the sales strategy & tactics in order to successfully retain, grow and acquire accounts to deliver budgeted sales, drive the pipeline and ensure revenue growth, including the transition of accounts to new e-commerce platform.
  • Supplying pricing and quotations to customers to drive sales
  • Proactively seek new business to drive growth and aid delivery of budgeted sales
  • Work with Marketing to develop materials to competitively position the products in chosen markets
  • Work with after-sales to ensuring maximum support for customers
  • Work with Customer Services/Sales order management to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Ensure visibility around terms, pricing and discounts, ensuring prices & payment terms are agreed and the internal organisation is aware of these agreements
  • Provide accurate, timely reports and forecasts to the General Manager and other Commercial leaders within the organisation.
  • Initial follow up on MQL (marketing qualified leads) identify opportunities for wider sales organisation across Novacyt Group.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

  • Desirable: Degree level qualification or equivalent in Life Sciences or Diagnostics
  • Experience in an inside sales role with a proven track record in achieving profitable sales growth
  • Passionate and action orientated, driven to follow up and exceed expectations
  • Good understanding of the Human or Animal health markets
  • Experience of selling to and managing distribution and channel sales partners
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Capable of influencing people internally and externally
  • Strong team player
  • Good understanding of managing sales opportunities through a CRM System (SalesForce)
  • Willingness to travel to office and offsite sales meetings when needed
  • Cultural Awareness
