Industrial Refrigeration Supervisor – Office-Based (Central Belt)

Salary: Competitive | Location: Central Belt, Scotland

FM Search & Select are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Supervisor to join a leading facilities and engineering services provider. This is an office-based, off-the-tools role, ideal for a seasoned professional looking to move into a supervisory and technical oversight position.

Key Responsibilities:



Oversee and support a team of refrigeration engineers across multiple commercial and industrial sites.

*

Manage and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and compliant delivery.

*

Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting expertise, particularly on ammonia-based systems.

*

Liaise with clients and internal teams to maintain strong working relationships and high standards of service delivery.

*

Review and sign off RAMS, maintenance reports, and technical documentation.

*

Ensure full compliance with F-Gas and health & safety regulations, including LOLER, PUWER, and ammonia-specific legislation.

*

Assist with resource planning, stock control, and procurement of parts and materials.

*

Support onboarding and training of new engineers and apprentices.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience in industrial refrigeration, with strong knowledge of large plant systems.

*

Valid ammonia handling certification is essential.

*

F-Gas certified (Category 1).

*

Excellent understanding of HSE legislation and compliance within refrigeration environments.

*

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

*

IT literate, with the ability to manage scheduling software, reports, and documentation.

*

Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

*

Previous experience in a supervisory or coordinator role.

*

Experience working in food production, pharmaceutical, or other high-compliance industrial sectors.
