Anna Medicinals is a new medical cannabis clinic dedicated to providing safe, high-quality

treatment options to patients with complex and unmet medical needs. We operate within a

highly regulated environment and are committed to upholding the highest standards of

patient care, compliance, and clinical excellence.

We are seeking qualified and experienced Independent Prescribers (Registered Nurses,

Pharmacists, or Aesthetic Practitioners) who hold a V300 qualification and are eager to

contribute to a pioneering area of medicine. This role offers the opportunity to work in a

About the Role

The Independent Prescriber will work within a structured Shared Care Model, ensuring the

safe prescribing and monitoring of Cannabis-Based Medicinal Products (CBMPs) in

accordance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) and General Pharmaceutical Council

(GPhC) , GMC or depending on the candidate's professional registration. The role requires

an individual who is meticulous, patient-focused, and able to deliver exceptional care while

navigating a rapidly evolving medical field.


Key Responsibilities:


Clinical Governance & Compliance

• Adhere to CQC regulatory standards and uphold clinical governance policies.

• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.

• Maintain professional registration and attend required training and development

activities.

Prescribing & Patient Care

• Assess and prescribe within scope of practice in line with clinical guidelines and

shared care agreements.

• Assist with follow-up appointments under Shared Care Agreement

• Provide accurate information to patients about CBMPs, including benefits, risks, and

prescribed use.

• Support patients in their ongoing treatment, addressing queries and monitoring

treatment efficacy and safety.

• Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless patient

care.

Collaboration & Communication

• Liaise with prescribers, general practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to

ensure coordinated patient care.

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in line with data protection

regulations and internal policies.

• Act as a clinical resource, providing guidance and support to patients and colleagues.

Operational Support & Development

• Assist in the development of clinical protocols and standard operating procedures.

• Identify opportunities to enhance patient services and contribute to service

improvement initiatives.

• Maintain high professional and ethical standards in all interactions with patients,

colleagues, and stakeholders.


Essential Criteria


Qualifications & Registration

• Registered Nurse, with a valid professional registration (NMC, GPhC, or

relevant governing body).

• V300 Independent Prescribing qualification.

Experience & Skills• Demonstrated experience in independent prescribing within a healthcare setting.

• Strong understanding of clinical governance and compliance within a regulated

healthcare environment.

• Ability to apply effective clinical judgment and decision-making skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High level of numeracy and literacy skills.

Person Specification

• Experience in private healthcare or medical cannabis prescribing (preferred)

• Understanding of the regulatory framework surrounding CBMPs in the UK.

• Clinical leadership experience.

• Familiarity with electronic patient record systems.

• Experience working in a dynamic, fast-moving start-up environment (preferred)
