Job Title– Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Manager

Location– Warrington with National travel (Hybrid)

Reporting– Head of Operations

Term– 12-month Contract – Starting July 1st, 2025


Kemtile is the UK’s leading designer and installer of hygienic flooring and drainage systems to the food and beverage market and a wide variety of other industries. Established in 1979, Kemtile has been trading for 40+ years and was acquired by Stonhard, part of the RPM Group in 2018 due to its established place in the UK market. Stonhard’s acquisition of Kemtile will enable the business to grow into new markets whilst staying established in the food and beverage industry.


Kemtile are looking for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic HSEQ manager to offer maternity cover for a period of 12 months. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) within the Company. This includes but is not limited to personnel training requirements, Audits, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Quality process and Administrative Procedures. The individual will work closely with our project management department to ensure all projects are managed appropriately. Due to the nature of the role some travel within the UK is required.


Job role :

  • You will be required to remain current on all laws, regulations, procedures, policies and guidelines affecting the Company, ensuring all regions comply with legislation.
  • Participates in meeting about the company’s business plan and budget in regard to areas of responsibility.
  • Maintains HS&E records and the processing of same, including statistical analysis and data gathering
  • Investigates all reported Accidents, Near Misses and Recordable incidents to determine root causes and corrective action(s).
  • Utilizes appropriate man-hours conducting safety audits on third party sites / the business’ warehouse operations and making appropriate recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Assists in co-coordinating and conducting training on personnel and HS&E topics. Receives minutes and advises on topics, trends, of all safety meetings. Supporting on-boarding and on-going vetting of suppliers
  • Ensures safety equipment is standardized, appropriate, and functional. In addition, ensures that all equipment/tools and material meet all necessary H&S requirements.
  • Completes COSHH, Risk Assessments and Method Statements as required for Company and external clients/customers
  • Responsible for the day-to-day organization for all in house practical and theoretical HS&E training.
  • Responsible for the administration of ISO Accreditation documentation and keeping all company personnel up to date with the changes and required training etc.
  • Collates and records all regional safety hours and statistics and provides accurate documentation senior management
  • Renewal and maintenance of third-party safety accreditation
  • Promotion of health & safety awareness throughout the Company. Review safety suggestions received.
  • Supporting all quality requirements, including writing and standardizing all business processes.
  • Liaises with parent companies European Safety Adviser to ensure processes are standardized across the group.

The successful candidate will have :

  • A strong general construction background ideally with a specific knowledge of one of the following: Civils, Drainage or Resin flooring.
  • Have a relevant HSEQ qualification – NEBOSH or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience working within a specialist sub contractor business is desired
  • Experience in Food & Beverage and/or pharmaceutical environments is desired.
  • Able to work under pressure & in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently but also dynamic enough to work as a team where appropriate and required.
