Health & Safety Manager – Manufacturing
Location: Based at a single site in Tonbridge
Salary: £55,000 per annum + bonus
D7 Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, an award-winning leader in the manufacturing industry. Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Health & Safety Manager to lead health and safety operations at their Tonbridge site.
Key Responsibilities

  • Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, ensuring full compliance with UK standards and regulations.
  • Safety Culture: Promote and embed a culture of safety throughout the organisation by leading awareness campaigns and training initiatives.
  • Audit Management: Conduct internal audits and ensure all health and safety documentation and procedures are audit-ready.
  • Incident Management: Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
  • Training & Development: Design and deliver comprehensive health and safety training for employees and leadership.
  • Risk Assessments: Perform regular risk assessments, proactively identifying potential hazards and implementing effective controls.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders to drive a high standard of health and safety performance.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage the health and safety budget effectively, ensuring resources are in place to support compliance and training programs.
    Requirements
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH or IOSH certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years’ experience in health and safety management, ideally within the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing sectors.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of health and safety compliance, risk assessment, and safety management systems.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proven capacity to influence and collaborate at all levels..
