We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and experienced clinical pharmacist with demonstrable skills in Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection Management to join our pharmacy team. The post holder will be part of the wider clinical pharmacy team providing pharmacy services to patients across all disease groups and be responsible for leading and further developing the Antimicrobial Stewardship strategy and initiatives within the Royal London Hospital. The postholder will work in collaboration with the infection control team and consultant microbiologists in addition to the different multidisciplinary teams across the Trust.
The post holder will be accountable for the delivery of specialist clinical pharmacy services relating to Antimicrobial Stewardship National and Local guidance, supporting education and training to all healthcare professionals to ensure effective use of antimicrobials. The postholder will have an integral role within the MDT team and contribute to service delivery, new initiatives and development / review of drug protocols including new NICE initiatives.

Main duties of the job
The aim of this post will be to assist the Deputy Head of Pharmacy and Lead Antimicrobial Pharmacist in the provision of antimicrobial stewardship and responsibilities in line with the priorities of the team across RLH and as directed by the clinical network boards. The post holder will work to support with duties and deliver on the trust antimicrobial stewardship agenda. The postholder will be a key member of the trust Antimicrobial Review Committee and actively participate in activities.

Significant experience post registration in a hospital based clinical post Demonstrate successful performance in a previous clinical post Previous evaluations or reviews of medicines Experience of providing evaluated information on drug expenditure
Desirable criteria
Experience of providing hospital- based clinical service to antimicrobial and Infection control teams at Band 7 level or equivalent Successful experience of managing & leading projects Experience of successfully managing staff Experience of delivering professional training and education

Knowledge
Essential criteria
A sound knowledge of drug and therapeutics at Diploma level or equivalent An awareness of current national standards, guidelines and service delivery issues relevant to the speciality

Knowledge of the medical management of issues around the use of antimicrobial and Infection control management plans Knowledge of interface issues relevant to the patient group Good knowledge of risk management issues relevant to the patient group and root cause analysis
Qualifications
Essential criteria
MPharm Degree in Pharmacy Registered with GPhC Postgraduate Pharmacy Qualification or equivalent experience (minimum postgraduate diploma level)
Desirable criteria
GCP Trained in clinical trials Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Completion of Statement of Teaching Proficiency Independent prescribing qualification, or willing to undergo training to become a non-medical prescriber
