Maintenance Technician (Multi Discipline)

Location : Reading

Duration : 5 months

Role & Responsibilities:

Inspecting and Diagnosing:

Regularly inspecting machinery and equipment to identify potential problems, using tools like precision measuring instruments and diagnostic equipment.
Preventative Maintenance:
Performing scheduled maintenance tasks like lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.

Troubleshooting and Repair:
Diagnosing malfunctions, repairing or replacing faulty components, and restoring equipment to proper working order.

Following Safety Procedures:
Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations when working with machinery and equipment, including lockout/tag-out procedures.

Documentation:
Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts used.

Collaboration:
Working with other technicians, engineers, and production personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.

Electrical:

• Installation and Maintenance:
Installing and maintaining wiring, control systems, lighting, and other electrical components.

• Troubleshooting and Repair:
Diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions and defects in various equipment.

• Preventive Maintenance:
Conducting regular inspections and maintenance to prevent potential problems.

• Following Safety Procedures:
Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations when working with machinery and equipment, including lockout/tag-out procedures.

• Safety Compliance:
Ensuring all work is performed safely and in accordance with electrical codes and regulations.

• Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.

Qualifications

CSCS Card (Essential)

Must be able to obtain Security Clearance (Essential)

HNC/HND, BTEC Lvl 3 – 5, Industry Experience in the relevant field.

IPAF (Desirable)

Mechanical Appointed Person for Safe Isolation (Desirable)
