Health & Safety Advisor – Construction | Maidenhead (Hybrid Site/Office Based)

£55,000 – £65,000 (DoE) + Car/Allowance + Benefits + Career Growth


Are you ready to step into a pivotal role within a thriving construction company that values excellence, integrity, and work-life balance?


Our client is a respected and expanding Construction Contractor based near Maidenhead, delivering high-quality Fit Out and Refurbishment projects across the South East—including Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Wiltshire, and Buckinghamshire. With project values ranging from £250k to £8 million, they serve a wide range of sectors such as Commercial, Light Industrial, NHS, Pharmaceutical, and Automotive.


To support their continued growth and increasing demand from both long-standing and new clients, the company is looking to bring Health & Safety (H&S) management fully in-house. They are now seeking an experiencedHealth & Safety Advisorto join their team, working both on-site and from their Maidenhead office.


The Opportunity:

This is more than just a compliance role—it’s a chance to shape the company’s Health & Safety culture. You’ll work closely with Contracts Managers and Directors, building upon robust existing systems and driving continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Construction Phase Plans.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure high H&S standards are consistently maintained.
  • Liaise effectively with Principal Designers, Clients, Main Contractors, and Site Teams.
  • Lead pre-start safety meetings and contribute to monthly health & safety reviews.
  • Manage accreditations and pre-qualification questionnaires.
  • Maintain and enhance company H&S policies and training requirements.
  • Investigate and report on incidents/accidents with statistical analysis and Board-level reporting.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with CDM regulations and industry best practices.


About You:

You are a proactive Health & Safety professional who thrives in fast-paced construction environments. You’re collaborative, communicative, and ready to contribute to the growth of a dynamic business.


Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) – essential.
  • Valid CSCS Card – essential.
  • Demonstrable experience in UK construction environments as a H&S professional.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in writing RAMS, auditing, and maintaining H&S policies.
