The Head of Performance Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that delivers measurable growth in audience size, brand awareness, events attendance, and qualified leads.


The Summary:

We are looking for an inspiring marketing leader with strong commercial acumen to be responsible for driving audience growth, lead generation, and brand development. The Head of Performance Marketing will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the role combines strategic leadership with hands-on ownership to develop and drive the over-arching marketing strategy and ensure its successful implementation.


The successful applicant should have more than 7 years’ experience in marketing within a commercial environment with a proven track record of success and at least 5 years’ experience within the media sector.


The Role:

  • Grow and enhance international brand reach, presence and engagement
  • Implement data-driven marketing strategies to achieve audience growth, lead generation, and brand development objectives
  • Conduct market research and surveys/persona work to gain a deeper understanding of our audience to enhance engagement metrics
  • Manage processes in Performance Marketing to drive best practice and innovative deployment of new systems
  • Develop testing and trialling marketing initiatives to achieve objectives and optimise budgets
  • Ensure, marketing activities are aligned to assist in increasing ROI and facilitating revenue growth across all aspects of the portfolio
  • Support and facilitate new product development and launch to raise awareness, drive engagement and ROI
  • Ability to set, define, rollout and report on key metrics to track campaign performance for all activities
  • Be prepared to travel and work overseas for short periods of time
  • Setting strategic direction for the team, including OKRs & KPIs setting, execution, implement reporting, tracking/ monitoring and continuous evolution of objectives
  • Management of relevant processes & systems for department and implementation of best practice


Keys Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Marketing or equivalent industry experience
  • 7+ years’ experience in a senior marketing role within a commercial environment
  • At least 5 years’ experience within the media sector
  • Experience across the full marketing mix (including all digital channels) and in directing and managing integrated marketing planning, execution and measurement
  • Experience in data driven marketing activities including lead generation and data integrations leading to actionable insights which will drive business performance
  • Experience of events marketing, membership models and strategies
  • Highly proficient in applied marketing techniques with sound knowledge of latest marketing systems and technology
  • Highly competent in all areas of digital marketing including social and content marketing
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower
  • Excellent communication with both internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner to ensure that the highest standards are maintained
