What Are We Looking For?

Owing to continued success, DPS are looking to recruit a Graduate Project Engineer to join our business. The primary responsibility of the project engineer is to oversee the technical aspects of projects that have been given to them and complete scheduled projects on time, within budget and as per specifications, while ensuring the highest level of Health and Safety over the full project lifecycle.

The role requires management of technical projects requiring a high level of collaboration across each DPS Group department to manage personnel, budgets, and project planning to meet the expectation of the project, and to minimize any Health & Safety, Financial or Technical risks associated with in a project.

As a project and client lead you will be a co-ordinating, dealing with all stakeholders across all areas of the project. You will interpret the needs, expectations, and limitations of each, and bring them together with the aim of successful project delivery.

Although home/office-based, you will spend significant amount of time on site covering multiple projects where required.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

Set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with DPS Group procedures and legal obligations.
Assist in maintaining our Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 140001 and ISO180001.) and other certifications.
Act as the client liaison throughout the project lifecycle, managing both the client and DPS Groups expectations.
Collaborate with Vendors and across the DPS Group departments, including but not limited to: Automation Process Control (APC), Manufacturing, Installation and Commissioning to ensure satisfactory completion of a project.
Management of the project financials, ensuring departments are working within budget.
Build and develop positive relationships with a wide range of customers, be primary contact for technical and implementation aspects of the project.
Development of technical specifications and Health and Safety documentation for subcontract works and the management of the works such that the requisite delivery time scales and quality standards are achieved. Check competency of contract personnel prior to commencement of works.
Develop project plans with Microsoft Project, with the client and each department manager and ensuring the project plan is managed and updated throughout the project Lifecyle.
Generate, control and submit project related documentation through the full life cycle of a project in a timely manner.
Complete any training provided to a professional high standard and ensure the upkeep of your own Continuous Personal Development through various available channels or platforms.
Report incidents, accidents or near misses immediately to the HSEQ Manager or Project Manager. Assist in completion of any HSEQ documentation regarding the above.

What Do You Need?

Electrical Engineer/ Electronic Engineer/ Control Systems Engineer/Mechatronics degree qualified or equivalent experience with recognised Apprenticeship
Demonstrable experience delivering EC&I Projects
Stakeholder management experience
ECS H&S card (preferred)
