What you’ll do
Be part of Oncology Market Access and Pricing (OMAP) team, leading on indications for a commercial stage Antibody Drug Conjugate in collaboration with a broader team including P&MA and Health Economics and Payer Evidence teams at the global, regional and local level. You will also work closely and in collaboration with our Joint Venture Partner on the ADC, Daiichi Sankyo (DS). You will also represent OMAP on relevant Global project teams (GPTs) and where established Integrated Business Teams (IBTs) working with colleagues from brand strategy, commercial, regulatory, R&D and clinical teams.
Responsibilities will include:
Global Price and Market Access Strategy for lung indications and other indications as agreed.
Develop national to regional access insights for new indications across geographies working in collaboration with AZ regional and country teams.
Develop policy narratives to support access and reimbursement.
Develop early value messages and claims that meet payer needs across regions and identify evidence gaps and solutions
Revise pricing & market access strategies and value stories, to optimize the value of life cycle management opportunities.
Drive the required payer insights to ensure robust and validated price & reimbursement strategies and ensure this is up to date with market dynamics including impact of any expected environment changes
Matrix managea cross functional team to support the development of global price and market access strategy, and align with the payer evidence strategy
Manage the evolution and sign off of price policy for new indications including innovative value strategies.
Plan launch and commercialisation activities, budget and timings to achieve global reimbursement and access
Support country teams in launch planning and execution including pricing negotiations.
Manage price approval for lung indications working in conjunction with Global Price Implementation and DS counterparts.
All activities to be conducted in collaboration with DS.
Robust pricing inputs and assumptions for investment decisions, commercialisation and internal forecasts for planning.
Provide input and guidance on Clinical Development Plans for new investment.
Provide input and guidance on regulatory trial designs, target product profiles and endpoints vs payer needs for new investment.
Essential Requirements
Graduate degree in biomedical science, business, or economics or similar.
Prior oncology therapy area expertise is essential, including previous commercialisation experience
Relevant drug development and/or commercialization experience within the pharmaceutical/medical industry.
Knowledge of the needs and expectations of national and regional payers, insurers, and commercial customers in our strategic markets.
Ability to make reasoned decisions under pressure
Ability to take people with you and bring the best out of others
Excellence and precision in communication: credible and persuasive
Desired Requirements
Experience working with clinicians, pharmacists and payers on evidence-based customer solutions, e.g. through working with local payers in EU or commercial customers in the US.
Experience in a commercial strategy function, e.g. managed markets brand director, business development director, head of pricing/access.
Experience constructing payer value stories and incorporating these into TPPs
Experience in country or regional pharmaceutical role
