The Opportunity

As Global Marketing Lead - Ophthalmology you will play a key strategic role within the Global Ophthalmology Brand Strategy & Marketing team, being responsible for developing and executing global marketing strategies and tactics to achieve the full potential of the product. You will provide disease/indication-related insights, manage the brand planning cycle, and ensure alignment with global and affiliate marketing efforts.

In this position, you will be instrumental in maximizing market potential through commercial innovation, competitive differentiation, patient access strategies & tactics, and execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Brand Leadership: Participate in the development and execution of comprehensive brand strategies, ensuring alignment across global, regional, and affiliate teams. Under the leadership of the Global Strategy Brand Lead for Ophthalmology, contribute to cross-functional co-creation of go-to-market strategies for new indications.
Integrated Planning & Execution: Participate and contribute in the Annual Operational Planning, and Integrated Global Brand Plan in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Co-lead development of tactics and execution, including Omni-Channel engagement amongst others, to drive customer adoption & activation to maximize brand share.
Market & Customer Insights: Synthesize inputs from internal and external stakeholders to shape brand strategies and optimize brand value over time. Uncover actionable patient, HCP and competitive insights, provide gap analysis and direction to Market Research in agreement with the Strategy Lead.
Launch Readiness & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive launch plans in collaboration with other functions using the launch excellence framework. Participate in launch readiness reviews for Priority Markets to ensure launch readiness globally.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to ethical standards, industry laws, and company policies, leading by example in compliance-related matters.

Essential Knowledge & Experience

Solid commercial experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
Global marketing experience or strong background in sales and marketing within a major market, with a track record of driving measurable Outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, brand management, and market execution.
Proven ability to develop and implement omni-channel marketing strategies & tactics.

Preferred Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge in Ophthalmology therapeutic area preferred.
Strong track record in stakeholder engagement, including Key External Experts (KEE) and cross-functional collaboration.
Experience in tactical planning and execution of global marketing strategies and tactics.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s, or equivalent preferred).

Additional Information

This is a permanent full-time position.
This position is based in the United Kingdom.
This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and minimum 1 day per quarter in our Addlestone, United Kingdom office. Flexibility may be required in line with business need. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
