By fostering open discussions, guiding teams toward clear outcomes, and adapting to evolving needs, they maintain momentum and engagement. With deep industry insight, they deliver best-in-class facilitation that strengthens BioPhorum’s community and accelerates meaningful change.

We're looking for a Facilitator to join BioPhorum Technology Strategy – where innovation meets collaboration. We’re leading the transformation of biomanufacturing, helping our members – global biopharmaceutical companies, suppliers, and integrators – adopt cutting-edge technologies to meet the evolving needs of healthcare. As part of our team, you'll be at the heart of strategic conversations that shape the future of the industry. We’re looking for an experienced facilitator with a strong background in process manufacturing, ideally within pharma or related sectors (food, biotech, etc.). Your experience working in collaborative environments, such as industry forums or consortia, will be crucial as you guide teams through discussions on future facility design, modular plants, lights-out manufacturing, and workforce innovation.

Main Responsibilities

Lead and manage a portfolio of workstreams in collaboration with the Phorum Director, ensuring strategic direction and smooth execution across all workstreams.
Project manage your workstreams to deliver outcomes that are consistent with Phorum’s proposition, objectives, member feedback, and agreed timelines.
Develop and execute an effective workstream strategy, creating engaging and results-driven meetings that foster collaboration, enhance community involvement, and support Phorum’s core goals. Own client satisfaction and actively engage with stakeholders across your workstreams.
Facilitate high-quality remote and in-person meetings and events for senior BioPharma stakeholders, partnering with the Events team to ensure seamless and successful execution.
Build and nurture a thriving workstream community, establishing a culture of trust and inclusion. Encourage participation, facilitate diverse perspectives, address sensitive topics with care, and drive meaningful solutions to shared challenges.
Ensure outcomes and actions from meetings are effectively documented and communicated, maintaining high-quality meeting notes and actionable follow-ups.
Collaborate with your workstream to define impactful deliverables, such as publications, proof of concepts, business cases, and conference presentations, ensuring clarity on the value these outputs provide to both the community and their respective organisations.
Ensure workstream value is clearly developed, documented and supported by tangible evidence.
Monitor and assess workstream performance and engagement using internal systems like Dynamics to track progress, report metrics to the Phorum team, and proactively address any issues.
Liaise with the Phorum team to provide feedback on workstream performance, share insights for continuous improvement, and escalate challenges when necessary.
Contribute to the BioPhorum community by driving continuous improvement in delivery, engagement, and value creation, while sharing best practices, supporting peer learning, and participating in internal initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Degree-level education in life sciences or equivalent training and experience in project management, facilitation, consulting, or change management, with a strong passion for driving collaborative efforts to create transformative industry programs.
Strong background in the biopharma or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, with a deep understanding of its operations, challenges, and regulatory environments, enabling you to lead workstreams with industry-relevant insights.
Proven facilitation expertise, with experience in fostering trust and collaboration, and guiding diverse teams through complex processes to synthesise ideas and achieve clear, actionable outcomes.
Experience designing and leading inclusive programs that engage culturally diverse audiences, ensuring participation and understanding across all stakeholder groups.
Demonstrated program/project management experience, with the ability to scope, plan, and structure workstream activities that lead to tangible and impactful results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence and capability to lead interactions with senior industry leaders and stakeholders, both internal and external, ensuring clarity, influence, and engagement.
Strong judgment and integrity in managing confidential cross-industry conversations and sensitive topics with tact and professionalism.
Self-motivated and proactive, with a problem-solving mindset and a proven ability to deliver value to clients in an agile, remote working environment.
Proficient in using a range of technologies, with a willingness to continuously adopt and integrate new tools that enhance workstream management and community engagement.
